Laser treatment of pigmented lesions

Melanin is the dark pigment within the skin. If it increases excessively in one place, the following lesions, for example, occur:

Lentigines; a flat, brown skin spot, which occurs if frequently exposed to sunlight

Keratosis; slightly elevated pigmented spots, often on the back and hands

FrecklesDermatosis Papulosis Nigra; small black spots, mainly in people of Asian or African origin
